‘Tis the Season

‘Tis the season to be jolly! We have all heard this song before. To be sure, we have entered the holiday season this year. Festivities include celebrations, shopping, and plenty of good food.

As leaders, there are a few things to keep in mind. Not everyone looks forward to a joyful season. Some may face loss of a loved one, health issues, or financial stress. Others struggle with seasonal depression, making festivities harder. Leaders should create space for reflection and offer support to those who need it.

People celebrate in different ways. Traditions vary widely. Make room for every tradition and honor the uniqueness of your team. Invite members to share how they want to engage—verbally or visually.

Above all, avoid assumptions. Ask your team what matters most to them. Collaborate on ways to include as many ideas as possible.

Finally, celebrate the year itself. We often rush to finish tasks and forget to appreciate progress. Even tough years bring growth and small wins worth noting.

Use this season to celebrate holidays, achievements, and the joy of teamwork. Look forward to even more success in 2026.
